What sets me apart
I evaluated tens of thousands of applications through 2025 as a former admissions officer at a highly selective college. This recent experience gives me first-hand insight into the current landscape, including shifting policies on affirmative action and international student visas, test-optional trends, and campus politics.
Through my active network of colleagues and counselors, I provide "inside scoop" information before it reaches the public. For those seeking extra assurance, I also offer the option to consult with other former admissions officers for a second opinion.
Many college consultants have never actually worked as an admissions officer and are not qualified to guide you with proper expertise. Worse yet, the larger companies are using AI to guide their work. A robot can never replace the human experience of applying to college.
I approach the process looking for the best fit, not just school prestige. This means I consider college compatibility, but also look ahead for outcomes. Which schools will give you the best four years, then truly set you up with career success?
Other companies are obsessed with rankings and brand names. They push students to apply solely so the companies can brag and advertise.
I’ve worked for other prominent college prep companies and learned their pedagogical practices. Now, I blend what I’ve learned to deliver the best service on a custom-made basis. I’ll give you direct, candid feedback and work with each student on a flexible and personalized basis. I bill by the hour and do not lock you into any packages so we can engage in a confident working relationship.
Others will sell you frivolous “packages”, promote pay-to-play resume building activities, and tell you to hire their additional tutoring services or risk denial from your dream schools.
I’ve seen it from both sides of the desk. The college search and application process is more complicated and competitive than ever. As a former Bowdoin admissions officer, I’ve made highly selective decisions, interviewed hundreds of students, visited high schools across the country, and served on admissions committees learning the secrets.
Now, instead of spending most of my day denying students, I get to focus on the best part - coaching students through an exciting process of self-discovery, ultimately ending in finding great fit schools and admission.
I’ve coached students as far away as China, France, and the U.K., along with students from across the country. Depending on location, I meet via video call or in person.
I approach my work with care, compassion, and a sense of humor. I will never write any of your application for you. Instead, I will help guide you to unlock your full story-telling potential.
I attended Bowdoin College and double majored in Government and Environmental Studies with a focus in Fisheries Policy and also ran track at the NCAA DIII level. Now, I’m a masters candidate at Northeastern University for Project Management.
In my free time, I enjoy fishing, playing music with friends (bass), cooking and eating.
